metrogel for bv in first trimester or wait it out til 2nd?

I’m lost on what to do. I’m only 4 weeks pregnant but I have bv. One Obgyn suggests waiting until second trimester to treat, and the other suggests metrogel now. I’m torn on what to do because I’ve heard opinions for both!
