As of right now Mist and Fury is my favorite. I am taking a break from this series before I read the novella and Silver Flames. Wings and Ruin was kind of boring to me so I feel like this is a good stopping place.

Unpopular opinion but I actually really enjoyed the novella. It was fun to just see the characters living their lives after all they went through. Absolutely no movement in the story so totally fine to skip but it was a nice break after the craziness of the first 3 novels.

Is the novella the Christmas special?
I ended up reading it and I enjoyed most of it except for how rude Nesta is.
The novella may seem like a Christmas special but it sets up the novels for the next trilogy. It's important to read it and it's really cute and we get other povs besides Feyre and Rhys.
Silver Flames is the second best book after Mist & Fury! You’re in for a treat.

The novella is just filler. Just go on to Silver Flames.
In my opinion Throne of Glass far surpasses Acotar. It’s much more high fantasy than romantasy which I know is a personal preference but I felt that some of the more romance leaning parts were a little slow for me and in ToG that was never the case.
I really like all of Mass’s work but I think ToG is one of my favorite series ever.
You could skip the novella too if you thought ACOWAR was boring. The novella was a hallmark Christmas movie. Not much besides fluff.
Yeah, there are only a few things that seem vital to the series. I just finished it yesterday.
