You do not get to DC if your perceive the match to be unfair or if you think survivors are griefing you. How are you being griefed by survivors? What do you define as an unfair match (excluding cheating)?
Unfortunately you just have to dela with cheaters until they are banned by behaviour. Unless it's blatant cheating, some of these survivors you are accusing may actually not be.
DC penalties exist as when they don't, it gets abused.
I don’t blame you for DCing for most of these reasons. But the time ban has a purpose, and I agree with it. I do think survivors should be given a freebie here and there though. If you’re someone who almost never DC’s, I don’t think a penalty is entirely necessary, but abolishing it entirely is out of the question.
There are some people who say “if I’m not having fun, I shouldn’t be forced to play.” If you’re not having fun, it’s time to take a break. No harm in the game ensuring you take that break (not saying this thought process applies to you specifically, it’s just something I’ve heard talked about frequently).
Thoughtful response, I appreciate it. Perhaps I just can't play the game without a dedicated group of at least 3 others to play survivor with then. Or just give up on caring about my rank at all.

I think the time ban should still be there. Otherwise people would leave all the time
Exactly. This has been proven again and again every time the penalties came off.
Fair enough. I made a recent complaint about getting matched with players from lower ranks who dont intentionally grief you, but prevent you from maintaining a good emblem status through a series of accidents or just general new player mentality. It's a hard thing to fix I imagine. Still, I feel at a loss.
Matchmaking has nothing to do with grades anymore (it hasn't since grades were launched in place of ranks). It's based upon a hidden mmr.
