Personally I’ve had the worst luck with hotspots. And they’re overpriced on Verizon. But it works it’s cheaper to added to your unlimited plan versus getting it separately or buying a prepaid hotspot through att for example

Have you though about buying a Wi-Fi extender? Honestly a mesh system might be your best bet overall and you can keep it up and running even after construction is done. It would likely be more reliable than a hotspot.

I use the hotspot function on my phone a couple hours a week and it works fine. Can even stream video no problem. I believe some plans may limit how much you can use while tethering, which should be considered.

As someone else mentioned, up your router game. A mesh network router would probably be the easiest to implement. A wifi extender may even be enough, and would certainly be much cheaper. Stores like Best Buy and Amazon have pretty good return policies so it may be worth trying.
