Blackjack is dead

I hear/read this all the time.

I just took a trip to a new location for me, that had 3 small/medium casinos all within 30 minutes of each other. I found great 6D and DD games. Standard rules, but also had Late Surrender in both 6D and DD (normally don't see LS in DD) and some insanely good penetration (deal down to 15 cards in DD).

No heat whatsoever, managed to spread $25 to $400.

Blackjack isn't dead. You just have to get out there and find the games.

jesus 90% penetration in a double deck game, that must make for some interesting end play scenarios

I didn't really run into anything extreme.

Had my max bet out there one time, and was expecting the shoe to be over, but got 3 more rounds in (all at max bet!)

They said it would die in the 70s. There are more opportunities today than ever before.

Yes, there's a lot more oppression. I agree. Don't know why you think that's good.

Heck yeah. Thanks for the short but nice motivation.

I gotta change it up and get out there, I'm starting to wear on the patience of my locals.

Absolutely blackjack is not dead!! There are great games all over the place with less than 0.5% house edge. Just gotta look!

I have not been in a game like that since the 90's in Tahoe. Weekday night newish dealer. Me and another guy cleaned up and no one paid any attention. We both kept our spreads to a reasonable amount.

Dead? No. It's got as lot more bullets in it than it did 10 years ago though.
