I’d back UWorld over Adaptibar, and despite my respect for Owsly’s opinions generally, I think UWorld is a superior product to BarMax (significantly) aside from the difference in access times.

Thank you for such a thorough answer! I had no idea that UWorld breaks down each subject into smaller chapters, that’ll definitely prove to be useful.

Sure thing - after a while of doing Themis MCQs I took advice and switched to UWorld so I could practice using real NCBE questions. I thought it was really easy to use and the explanation were great especially with the pictures. I also really enjoyed that they broke each subject down into smaller chapters so I could focus on the concepts that I either struggled with more or knew would show up on the bar more frequently (for example, I would intentionally do question a on the formation of contracts as opposed to remedies for contracts because I knew formation was a larger chunk of the MBE questions). So the ability to be very specific with the questions that would be provided was very valuable for me.

While I ultimately ended up doing significantly more questions on Themis (around 1600) just because I started there, I was able to do around 500 - 700 on UWorld which I think made the difference in test day. For practice exams, I was scoring around 69-71% on Themis. My final scaled score

Do you mind sharing your experience with it?

Thanks for the interesting take! I don’t think I’ve seen anyone be critical of UWorld’s visuals. The fact that you have used both and still side with UWorld has definitely swayed me to go with them. Unfortunately the prices are pretty much comparable (UWorld at $399 vs AdaptiBar at $395 without taxes and fees) so I’ll be on the hunt for discount codes to help knock the price down a little.

I used both UWorld and Adaptibar. I’m not a visual learner at all, so UWorld was more annoying with their hefty visuals. However, I found that their explanations were thorough without being overwhelming. Adaptibar was greater interface-wise and I swear by Grossman videos, but sometimes the answer explanations were long and convoluted, while other times they were short and unhelpful. I found myself frustrated often as a result. I think either is fine and will get the job done, so you can’t go wrong either way. But UWorld is cheaper and does have the upper hand with their answer formatting imo, making it the better choice!

Thanks for the insight! I definitely will do my part with practicing and actively learning.

You can’t go wrong with either. I used them both and was very happy with my exam results this year. It will ultimately be a personal preference thing. Just make sure you spend enough time doing as much practice as possible. Also, make sure you truly understand why you get questions right and wrong.

Thank you so much for the explanation! I’ll definitely check out the boot camp book too.

Is the boot camp book the strategies and tactics one or is there another Emmanuel one??

I coupled it with Barbri. I think that the cheapest tier suffices. I personally liked Barbri for their study material. I didn't like their study plan. I used their materials and made my own study plan. I felt like Barbri's questions prepared me to run a marathon because they were harder and the BarMax questions taught me how to find the right answers in the real questions.

I also really liked the books: Emanuel's Bootcamp for the MBE.

Thank you for the recommendation! I’m definitely going to consider it as well. Did you couple it with a bar prep course? And if so, do you feel like the questions you got with it were better than the ones you got with your bar prep course?

I recommend BarMax MBE Question Bank. It is the same price, but has a lifetime license. The majority of people pass the bar, but there are people who fail. Getting the lifetime license ensures immediate access and access after the bar exam JUST in case. I passed my first time, but I was still glad I went with BarMax because of the lifetime license. (I also started practicing questions my 2L year and religiously practiced 50 questions a week each week for several months prior to the bar).

Hi guys!!! I finally passed my exam, I am so happy all thanks to my tutor who made it possible for me to get an outstanding score though it wasn't easy for me to believe but I can now smile 🤗🤗🤗

So I'm taking the bar exam this upcoming February and I was wondering if UWorld or Adaptibar is better for MBE prep. It seems to me that they are both very similar, it's just that UWorld has visuals, but for people who have actually used one of them, did you enjoy using it/did it make a difference for you? For those who have used both, do you have a clearcut favorite?

Additionally, if anyone has a promo code and is willing to share it with me, that would be great! TIA!
