Rejected for internship solely due to behavioral
Got rejected for an internship because of a 1 hour behavioral call after doing near-perfect on 70 min codesignal, 30 min recruiter call, 3 hour take home assignment, 2 hour technical interview.
The feedback from the behavioral mentioned not being selective on internship choices and not taking ownership at previous internships.. which makes no sense to me because 1. getting internships is hard and 2. it's hard to really own anything at most internships.
Maybe I'm just a bad hire in terms of culture fit, maybe I was complacent with the interview, maybe there were other hiring factors, I don't know. It just feels so painful to get a result like this after I did really well on every other step of the process (which they acknowledged), especially for just an internship.
Thanks for reading, just had to rant.
