Caps were able to survive last season despite all the injuries and find ways to win. As the IR list fills up again early this season and the team has losses like this, I do start wondering if they can pull it off again. So many teams in the East improved in the offseason like the Wings, Sabres, and Devils.

I'm going to come off as a sore loser, but I cannot understand how what the Red Wings did on that PK at the end of the game was allowed to go on for so long. They had the puck pinned against the boards with absolutely zero desire to move it.

I'm not saying call a penalty, but call the play dead. They had zero intention to play the sport of hockey there.

Also.. with 4 caps on 2 wings it was probably pretty hard to see if the puck was dead still and they may have assumed there was some movement. I mean there could have been, fuck knows we couldn’t see.
