Blower motor woes Part 2
Hey guys,
I posted last week about my blower motor issues and plenty of you guys were super helpful and gave some amazing feedback. I was able to further diagnose my issue (maybe?).
Key: green arrow is good ground. red arrow is good 12v positive.
basically, in this image we have the blower motor circuit. now to follow the wire from the fuse block, I had power at the fuse block, at the hvac selector switch, and at the speed control switch (after I cut back due to a burnt connector). Then we had good ground at the dark green wire that is the full speed on the blower motor (bypassing the resistor). So, I had good ground, and good 12v + from the yellow/brown switch. I unplugged the connector, and tried jumping the yellow/brown and dark green wires (shown in yellow) to rule out the speed switch aaaaaand nothing happened. I verified about 100 times I had 12v + at the yellow/brown wire, but still nothing. I then jumped another known good 12v + to the dark green wire and the fan sprung to life.
I then unplugged the heat mode/selector switch (B & E in the diagram) and jumped the black/tan wire to the dark green and still nothing happened.
so to summarize, for whatever reason, the yellow and brown wire and/or the black/tan wire is showing 12v + but not actually delivering power when jumped to the dark green wire (yes, the fan works. it is almost brand new and I jumped it off my impact's battery multiple times to make sure.) I'm fairly close to just saying eff it and tearing out my dash to run a new wire because this is starting to kill me.
Plz helpppppp I am so dumb and can't figure this out.
