Broke a small piece of my Compact build will this affect it in any way?

Looks to me it’s just an added section to help guide the slide on track. Hopefully without that it’ll work fine.
I’d test the slide to frame fitment and see if it creates an issue. Maybe it’s only cosmetic and won’t affect function.

I put the slide on without no rails and racked it back and this little guy broke

I don't think it's a problem, but why would you do that?

I was wondering if the guide rod was getting stuck in the channel because the slide was not feeding when it was racked back with no force. Don't Know how to explain with 4th grade english
