Quickest way to complete the compendium?

I played the original P5 but didn't complete the compendium and now I'm playing P5 Royal on the switch, what's the fastest way to complete the compendium? And does it count when I negotiate with a persona and it says "mask acquired" and then I release it if my stock's full?
