So a lot of this theory is using fake program for a prank, I wonder whether in the end they still get the same payment just like the contract for the fake program or they get a bonus for being pranked.

IMO kinda unfair to young comedians getting pranked by his senior. Indeed they happy still get the payments. But can you imagine before the prank revealed, they feels really exited and gratitude to get into some show. But in the end there's is all fake.

Prank show is a staple in Japan.
And they still got quite an exposure (and money) by being filmed for Wednesday Downtown anyway.
I bet most program they're initially get into probably will get less viewership and rating compared to WD.

I checked and apparently they used the air cannon in episodes 2019.10.30 and 2020.08.26.

Does anyone know the story with the weird guy they showed at the very beginning? The one that Ogata and Yoshimura dealt with? They said it was on a live show or something.

This episode is the 2nd time they've done the set up of "crazy guy interrupts a (fake) live broadcast" to see how presenters respond in a situation where they can't call cut easily. First time was WEDNESDAY DOWNTOWN 2018.10.03 - 2HSP but I don't think it has subs.

If you slow down the fast forwarded video they show, it's just some roughhousing and I assume some nasty language, since the guy sticks around for the whole thing.
