Eureka Seven is a fantastic anime, and I recommend everyone go watch it, sub or dub. But every single one of its sequels and spin-offs is not only pretty bad, but will actively go out of its way to shit on the original and its fans.

“Oh you liked the original series and its themes, messages and characters? Fuck you, >!they’re now genocidal warmongers picking up where the main villain left off!!< Oh, you thought this was the coolest mech design ever? Even *more* than Jehuty and Anubis, you say? Great, here it is! Also, fuck you, >!it’s in a literal garbage pile for two seconds, long enough to see it before we blow it up with a new mech that actually looks like a hovering garbage ball! Because this mech is garbage, your taste is garbage, and we made actual garbage that’s cooler than it!!< Oh, you liked that the original series existed *at all?* Fuck. You. >!Now it was the main character’s daydream in the *real* series you should go watch right now, where her life is so shitty that even

Played the OG game back in the day, but don't have any strong feelings about it one way or the other.

However, any time we get some news or hint that maybe a revival of an old IP is coming and it turns out to be Koopy related....man that just hurts. It has overtaken an announcement of a mobile game as the least exciting thing that can be announced.

I never got into Parasite Eve but I feel sorry for fans because I can't name many series that shit so hard on fans the way The 3rd Birthday does.

Also Pat was there. Behind a pane of ballistic-proofed glass. For safety.

I imagine there was more electricity shooting off of him. Possibly on a roof somewhere. Probably raining. Definitely shirtless.

Is this what Woolie looked liked during his Judgment Nut End?

The thing people thought was leading to a remake turned out to be Koopy.

I was just playing off this article [https://www.cbc.ca/radio/bayonetta-voice-actor-hellena-taylor-controversy-1.6625042](https://www.cbc.ca/radio/bayonetta-voice-actor-hellena-taylor-controversy-1.6625042)

"Self described 'massive fan'" that shit was meaaaaan lmao

but i don't wanna acknowledge third birthday

Honestly? *That’s what it should have been.*

It's always so funny to me because. . . I have *only* ever played 3rd Birthday. It is the only game of Parasite Eve that I have ever played and, insofar as I was aware of at the time, it didn't belong to a franchise. It was just this odd but fun PSP game with a incomprehensible story involving Time-splits and people's genes turning them into twisty drill monsters.

I'm not terribly familiar with Parasite Eve's situation aside from reading people here talk about it shitting on the fans, can someone give me a rundown?
