That is true I forgot about that. My field consistency was really high before I squeezed a lot of it out during transfer so it should have a little more than plenty

Yeah leave it on. It'll actually dry out some without taking the lid off because mycelium is thirsty as it grows.

So just leave the lid on until then? There’s a good amount of condensation on the lid and walls of the toat. A little more than I was expecting. I’m just worried about it getting to moist and mold growing

Yeah I've done dozens of grows like this. If you're using smaller boxes you'll need to find a new cover for it as it starts fruiting though.

would that work for an unmodified shoebox? i was considering just popping the lid slightly and leaving it to fruit once 100% colonized

Not now. Not until full colonization. If you're doing a monotub I'd just flip the lid and not even bother fanning.

Alright I’ll refrain from opening the lids for a good while

Don’t open it or you will stop the mycelium growth. Also, if you introduce contaminants then there are lots of places for them to colonize as the mycelium hasn’t taken over those spots yet.

Is it bad? I’ve opened the lid atleast 6 times this past week to check on it

You just did by opening the lid. Best to wait until it’s 80% colonized minimum, 100% ideal.

When and how should I start FAE?
