00’s fantasy children’s series about a girl who used to go on magic adventures (potential dragon??)

sorry for the very vague title i’m looking for a book series I read as a child in the 2000’s but the book series could be from the late 90’s I don’t remember much about this book as I was very young when I read it so apologies if the information I give is too vague for anyone to identify it but I can’t come across it by googling so I thought i’d give it a go anyway. in this book series there was this girl who would go on many adventures to different places, mostly near the sea I think. these adventures would be outlined in a map at the front of the book full of islands and i vividly remember a lighthouse or a tower of some kind. she would go on these adventures alone but I kind of remember her having a dragon companion?? I could be wrong but she definitely did fly between these islands somehow. the covers were very brightly coloured in like a hand-drawn style and the title would be something like “name of the girl and the describing adventure”

again apologies if this is too vague as I don’t remember much of the plot but I thought I’d give it a go and post it anyway and see if anyone else had the same obscure reading tastes as me as a child, anyway thank you guys in advance
