Is anyone using Android email clients for workspace that aren't Gmail and do you recommend them?

I've had a fair few issues lately with the Android Gmail app not always background syncing and new mails only appearing when the phone is unlocked and the app is in the foreground. I've tried numerous "fixes" to no avail so not really looking for anything there but curious if folks are using different clients successfully. I've used the app for many years but effectively manually checking for mail is a deal breaker for me.
