Warlock of the fiend level 6 - when to take 3 levels in Bard (eloquence)?

As per the title, my PC is a fiend warlock. I'm role-playing him as a darkly charismatic politician so the eloquence dip makes sense from an rp perspective.

Mechanically, when would be best to take the dip? Thinking maybe I should've done it after level 5.
