Advice? Subbing or leave?

teacher support & advice

(I hope I chose the correct flair, I apologize in advance if it wasn't the best one to have chosen)

Anyways, hiya, I am a French immersion teacher in the prairies. I have two full years under my belt and so far this school year I have chosen to sub. I am seriously considering leaving the profession for multiple reasons: stress, behavioural issues with no admin or parental support, heavy workload, unrealistic expectations, etc etc. I have so far enjoyed subbing! It is much less stressful and very flexible when it comes to needing time off, but it isn't guaranteed work, pays less, I'm not contributing to a pension other than cpp and I have no health benefits.

For those who have subbed long term, how do you justify not having your teacher's pension (or another companies). What do you do for health coverage?

For those who have left teaching or are considering, what have you found that a BEd. transfers to? If it helps I have a major in Français and minor in biological sciences. Is there anything that pays as well as teaching does? Do I need to go back to uni or college?

I start a month and a half long term on the 14th and I am absolutely dreading it :(
