Noob confused about FrSky vs ELRS.. Have TX16S and want a Mobula7

As the title implies, I already have a TX16S radio and I'd like to get one of the Mobula7 tinywhoops for freestyling... but there are soooo many options. 1S vs 2-3S, FrSky w/ SPI vs ELRS, HD vs non-HD...

I decided on an HD model because I think I'll like the ability to get 1080p footage from my flights and it's not that much more expensive. As far as the 1S vs 2-3S, it'll probably be the 1S just because the 2-3S arent in stock anywhere I saw.

That still leaves the FrSky vs ELRS though, and forgive me because I'm a noob but I just don't understand it that well. I think only one would work with my TX16s? Might be wrong there. I read somewhere that ELRS has better range for small quads (don't know why or if that's true) but I'm pretty sure my TX16S uses FrSky so I was worried about going with an ELRS quad...

Anyone able to help me clear up this confusion?
