Sun and Moon is the Best. Should I get Legends Arceus?

I’ve been playing Pokémon since Red and Blue, and one thing I’ve always wanted from Pokémon is a deeper narrative and a more compelling story and characters to draw me in. It’s been what I’ve wanted from Pokémon ever since since I fell in love with the final fantasy series, but almost all the generations fall EXTREMELY short for me, (Gens 4, 6, and 8 being the biggest offenders). After playing sun and moon for the first time I was happily surprised. It gave me almost everything I wanted, but after going 180 degrees in the wrong direction with sword and shield my faith is shaken. I know nothing about Legends Arceus. It’s the first Pokémon game I haven’t played, so what do you think? Should I buy it?
