That’s a great idea! Mine have sticky notes with names I’ve given them :)

Plant nerds unite! I have labels with Genus species/cultivar on the pot and a spreadsheet with the dates, purchase details, etc. 😁

I mean, if it helps, go for it. I don't tend to label my stuff unless I have the slightest doubt of properly remembering what is what. I once planted one tray with three different plant seeds. Somehow, they all moved around and got mixed up and I was quite confused until the first true leaves lol. I would label a large planting of seeds. I probably wouldn't label a single houseplant. That's just me though.

I like to know when I first bought the plant and where. I tend to buy at multiple nurseries and stores. Helps if someone asks where I purchased the plant. Also thought it would be nice to see how long a potting last for different plants. I have also taken pictures. For me, it's encouraging to see the growth... and track my disasters :) The occasional entry in my journal helps keep track of what soil mixtures work. I'm not super motivated to mark down everything. I think it has improved my plant skills though.

I totally wish I would have taken more pictures of some of my plants through the years.

It is really nice. Like looking back at old childhood photos sometimes.

I put names and purchase date on mine too and have a little spreadsheet for more information so I don't overwater them cause I tend to want to water way too fast. I only have like 9 plants but this is all new to me and I figured it'd be fun in a few years if I manage to keep them alive to see that hey they've lived for x time.
