I bought my mom a gift for Christmas, and I'm so excited!
A bit of context: I'm 23F and living with my mom because i finished my career earlier this year and started working on my first job, where i get paid a little bit above minimum wage. So, she and I moved out of a toxic household in August, and we are renting a nice tiny house for the both of us. I'm helping her pay the rent, but she doesn't know that I've been saving money on the side.
The thing is that yesterday I bought her a new smart tv for her room that i plan to give her on Christmas, and she absolutely has no idea. I told her to pick a blender online and that i would buy that as a Christmas gift for her, so she could pick the color and the style, but she doesn't know about the tv. It arrives tomorrow and I'm planning on hiding it at the back of my closet, where i think she would never see it lol.
I'm so excited since this is the first real gift i can give her with my own money! And my mom is always so practical, I've always only been able to gift her hand creams or a chocolate bar as surprises.
I can't tell a soul how excited I am, and i hope my mom doesn't find her gift before Christmas 🙏 Wish me luck!

She'll love it!
I hope so 💕, she has said in the past that she wants to buy a tv for her room, but she can't afford one herself since we've been worried first in getting house supplies like a microwave and kitchenware (that's also why I'm buying a blender as well) I can't wait to see her reaction!
