Lol i guess. Makes em feel good apparently

Most Redditors are just filled with hatred and malice. I hate getting downvoted all the way to hell for being in the right too

As someone mentioned it’s overly attached people power tripping for whatever there reason

I remember getting banned from r/marvel when captain marvel came out for saying it was just fine, one of the weaker movies in the mcu

Ban said my behavior was toxic and misogynistic , over that like warm take lmao. Fuck em just ignore the nonsense as much as you can it’s worth stressing over

The anonymity of this platform plays a big part. Most Redditors would never say what they comment to your face. Then if you get one downvote others will just bandwagon without even comprehending what you wrote. Sucks tbh.

I know right? I forget to remind myself that this stupid app and the idiots on it don’t matter.

Stop caring about the little things. I get ban for the most silly things too. One sub banned me for commenting on ANOTHER sub.

Just unsub and move on. Morons doesn’t deserve our attention.

Anyone is tough with the power of a keyboard and the title of moderator. Getting picked last at recess for years really builds resentment.

I had to abandon my former account because someone didn’t like a comment that I made about a workout. That person got their subreddit to come over and harass me, and suddenly I got an absolute torrent of comments by people who were very very angry with my comment on someone’s form with a barbell workout. It is so fucking stupid. and they started reporting a bunch of comments

My account got suspended over a comment, apparently it was a comment I left in dataisbeautiful…. But for some reason, Reddit will not tell me what that comment was. So all I can do is assume that it was a random comment, reported by one of these people. But, again - I have no idea WHAT the comment was that I made that was so bad, because Reddit just gives me a link to the post… but not the comment.

So I have no idea what rule I violated, no idea why my comment was against any sitewide rules

I reached out to Reddit support and haven’t heard back.

It's not just reddit. It's most people on the internet. They lack control in their everyday lives and the anonymity and lack of consequences provided by the internet allows for them to be total knobs, giving them some sense of control.

Sad it happened but I find Facebook has many more jerks than Reddit. Many people cannot accept complaints or constructive criticism.

There's 2 things I tell myself when I'm feeling shit on on Reddit.

1) everyone who downvotes me and trashes me in comments is probably 14. I do not need to listen to 14 year olds.

2) every opinions exists here. I don't mean everyone gets an opinion, I mean every opinion exists, whether someone actually holds that opinion or not. People feel compelled to fill in the theoretical blanks, so if there's a post and no one has flamed you or called you a racist yet, it is bound to happen, and the people saying it don't even think it, they just think it has to be said to be "complete".

So basically there's no sense thinking about the opinions of people who don't actually think those things, and since you can't know if they do or don't, you might as well think they don't.

Why do folks on reddit have to be such A-holes?
