Cystic Hygroma on 11 week ultrasound
Today we got news of an 8mm CH on our sonogram. Doctor says that there's a chance that everything is ok but it's slim... more than likely, with a CH of that size she says she wouldn't hold out too much hope. Heartbreaking. Next is the CVS...
I'm not sure if I'm asking for someone to tell me that they've been through the same and it's ok, or that we have some reason to hope... or just to tell us to prepare for the worst. Maybe I just want to see what other folks have to say... I think I'm a mix of all of these things. Sad. Disappointed. Trying to get to acceptance. Also now just scared for my wife and the series of invasive and traumatic experience she may have to go through. Thoughts?
UPDATE / EDIT: We have a diagnosis... Trisomy 13. We're heading for a TFMR, sadly. Not what we hoped for.
