Why not just set Dark Promo Credits to be 10x permanently, even during featured characters.

As most should really only claim them during these offer windows, then why not help the player base and make that a permanent change?

My understanding was that they were linking Ol' Negz to an online webpage exclusive event. They could probably run that in tandem with another release.

I wasn’t paying a lot of attention but it felt like we had a longer than usual stretch of Dark Promo boosted orbs not that long ago.    
  
I think Boundless is chasing their tails from the whole Mr. Negative/ZIM switcheroo debacle.  I’m pretty interested to see how they handle it now that Mr Negative has been in the game for this long.   
  
I just hope they don’t double up on two blitz event releases at the same time.  I despise blitzing but two at once could be incentive enough for me to allow blitzing to ruin my home/work life for a week.

I was wondering about the costume credits too. I have the costumes already but the credits just vanished. Never got my discounted basic credits for them or anything.

Solution is to at least give us the 700 Dark Promos minimum we had guaranteed monthly and that they removed and went radio silent.

Meanwhile they release ZIM that uses Dark Credits along with Horsemen needing ridiculous amounts of it past 4-5 stars as well.

And when they do get tossed in as event rewards, it's of course, only if you pay to finish milestones. 

And Knowhere Heist is extremely shit as well.

The best practice is to only open reds when 10x Dark Promos are on. 
Those elites soon build up. Because of the way Scopely releases toons and makes them farmable now, I stop pulling elites when I pull a 4 red because I'm never going to get the gold stars anyway. This results in an excess of elites unless you are ridiculously unlucky.
I also have nearly 1000 silver promo credits, if by chance I don't pull them from elites. Again, due to build up.

You're shooting yourself in the foot by doing this, you will need those dark promos.  Open your elites for new characters, and if you don't get lucky, use silver promotion credits to bring them up to 5 red a month or two later.  New characters have been entering the elite store pretty quickly these days.

Do people not use regular red star orbs for featured characters?

I don’t have like 50,000 orbs worth of elite credits, and I barely pull the featured character ever, so RS orbs are like my only way of getting some decent starts for them.

i didn't get any costume credits either i think.

but we had a pretty large period of time when we didn't have any boosted red star character, so meh.

i mean it's not going to kill you to wait another week - and you'll have more red stars to convert then anyways.

Congrats dude but high red stars on new toons are only worth anything if you can get the gold. Since I don't spend anymore, most toons are past it by the time I get the gold stars to match. Sitting on tonnes of elites because I stop as soon as I get a 4.

I got a 6 star Nakia ;-) so not overly worried! I probably need another 20 red stars before I get rogue (or red hulk) to 6 red so can wait a week…

Jumping from one featured character in the red stars straight to another when Dark Promo influx is at a low point just feels wrong.
