Big 4 vs RSM Risk Consulting

USA

Hello!

I did an audit internship this past summer but am looking into risk consulting post-grad. I'm debating between a Business Risk Consulting position at RSM and a Tech Risk Consulting position at EY.

I know that for audit, the big 4 is the best experience you can have and that most good industry finance positions pretty much require big 4 experience. Is this also the same for consulting positions? After interviews, I prefer the culture and work environment at RSM but am mainly concerned about the exit opportunities compared to the Big 4. I'm also curious about what exit opportunities there are for risk consulting and if they care about the big 4 brand or if it's generally about your experience and projects.

Would appreciate the advice!!! :)))

Business Risk = Internal Audit

Tech Risk = IT Audit

Which you want

There is no such thing as Risk consulting at b4/mid tier. It’s all audit dressed up as consulting.

I would pick neither
