Second part of the old comic crew. This time with Hannelore (again), Sarah and... Vespavenger? I'm scraping the bottom of the barrel with her.

honestly I don’t mind you scraping, I think your skill shined through really strong here especially with Vespavenger. (all three are really good though)
When I think back on the earlier stuff, the VespAvenger sticks in my mind as a bit more…sexist? Than I initially realized it the first time I read the comic .
In a fictitious world where AnthroPCs are normal, I didn’t have trouble believing in the concept of an a vigilante with a robo-scooter sidekick serving a partícularly at-risk group (women, specifically those who are victims of some sort of abuse).
But instead of a “domestic violence and physical/emotional abuse are really serious issues and she’s gonna be a legit superhero helping people who need it,” type of situation, it ended up as a “wow, what a crazy bitch; she’s one of those hardass man-hater types” deal. I was disappointed with the direction of her arc. And the main characters ended up baiting her with a fake argument because she’s not just a man-hating crazy bitch, but a creepy eavesdropping man-hating crazy bitch. I feel like the VespAvenger concept, however stupid, had the potential to be better executed.
I liked her arc. Jeph was clearly learning to create deeper stories, but this arc was clearly designed just to shake things up a bit and try new things. He probably didn't delve further because his focus was just telling the wacky story about a girl who avenges other girls and adding a little more action, and not why Vespavenger does what it does, but it sure would make the story better. with a little more depth.
That is, it was more of a "don't ask too many questions" arc.
I'm not sure I understand how that's sexist. Just because she's a woman who was evil and manipulative doesn't mean the plot was sexist... not every person on the planet is good-natured.
Especially this: "And the main characters ended up baiting her with a fake argument because she’s not just a man-hating crazy bitch, but a creepy eavesdropping man-hating crazy bitch."
I mean yeah, if you're insane enough to assault people for having breakups then eavesdropping isn't exactly off the menu.
I would think that one club Faye went to, where she was literally offered a knife to stab guys that came near her was way more sexist.
