5.0 mustang owner wondering which trim challenger I should be looking at?
Hey guys,
I come from the world of ford, Ive had I've had a few Mustangs. Some of which I've modded pretty extensively including superchargers, nitrous Etc
And what I kind of want to know is I think I would be happy with a car around if not a little bit better than the performance of a bolt on 5.0 Mustang so with that in mind my initial thoughts were I'd probably be looking at a 392 or Scat Pack correct?
But then I've also heard that 392s are pretty much you have what you get with that as in 392s don't have much potential especially for Boost
So then that got me thinking maybe with a 5'7 2015 Plus make more sense as I would then get the 8-speed and maybe the five seven could better handle boost? Or an older 5.7 if that would get me to my target power level / quarter mile range
Essentially what it boils down to is I'd like to have something that's like a low to mid 11 sec quarter mile car that is still very streetable that with a preference for more good wholesome low end low RPM torque as again it would be primarily a street car.
So as long as what ever i end up with had a Hemi a sunroof and has beautiful Challenger body ill be happy looking four so what would be the most cost efficient way to get to that point because ultimately I've done my research a tad bit but I'm agnostic as far as going for a older or newer 5.7 or 6.1 or a Scat Pack / 6.4, I would imagine this would be able to be accomplished without having to step up to a Hellcat? Thanks in advance
