after months of scrimping, saving and giving in to my eating disorder to avoid have to spend money, i can finally take myself and my bf out for a nice dinner

I suddenly lost my job in June after my boss sold the company with no warning. I was left high and dry, and unlike most ppl my age i don't have the luxury of being able to run home. For months I've been avoiding spending money wherever possible, I'm not even rightly sure when i last bought groceries. I put in over 100 applications l, had only a handful of interviews and finally got a job for a tech company. I'm not sure how much I'm paid, but today i got my first paycheck and it was so much bigger than i expected. I was able to put $700 into savings and still have plenty for bills, groceries and, tonight, I'm taking my bf out for a nice dinner. I'm so proud of myself rn
