Orange Washed Bridges
You carelessly chewed
through friends like gum -
dominance meld
with molars grind innocent -
and when hangouts were flavorless,
you spat out their bodies
into sticky situations.
.
You dramatically blew
into friends like tissue -
kept the few stained rags
who beared your forced sneezes -
and discarded the defiant
who didn't break
from your two-faced breeze.
.
You effortlessly drank
from friends like a cup -
pouring out insides
to the last drop, quenching
a leather, eager tongue -
and threw out the Styrofoam
into gasoline containers -
watch them melt and mingle
in flammable poison.
.
You threw this napalm
on the bridges of those closest
to your ways of crossing - those friends
willing to leap cliffs to strengthen
their ropes with you -
and drowned the sky dark.
.
The bridges washed orange
while you naively ambled,
unscathed from the unfriendly faces
of corpses with
burnt flesh frowns.
