Hot take: US medical students are much more knowledgeable than Canadian medical students.

Hear me out. I was thinking about this last night.

I am currently a Canadian MS4. I keep seeing posts about the practice questions and extra resources US medical students are using. Your examinations seem to have importance so you need to study to do well on them.

At my medical school in Canada, everything is P/F. Residency programs will not see any scores of our exams. The only thing they can see is comments from our 3rd year electives. People do not seem to study as hard and are just looking to pass. You can very easily show up and not study and pass the exams.
