Can I ask dimensions? Thinking about getting one for my planties
48" x 18" x 77"
Was able to find something similar dimensions on Amazon, may I also ask what kinds of lights you find work best for your setup?
I bought the shelves at Lowes I believe. Home Depot had ones with wheels. Wish I had spent the extra for the wheels. I ended up adding ones later at much higher cost. The wheels have turned out handy so many times. I use the heavy Tough? 48" LED shop lights. I mostly used the 5000 lumen variety though one shelf is the 3300. My shelfs are 19" to 21" apart. i have tried the purple grow lights but think the shop lights work just fine for the cost. Seven assemblies are using about 300 watts according to my Kill-a-watt meter.
Pretty close. Think it is actually 74"
Excellent!!!, how many lights does it have and how many watts? How many hours do you use the light? I am thinking of setting up something similar at home.
Mostly those Hyper Tough? shop lights. 5000 lumens. most plants are approx. 6 inches from light. They turn on at 8am. Off at 7pm.
Hyper Tough? shop lights
It's not too energy consuming ?
I am using six assemblies and one LED table lamp. All are using 300 watts
Nice setup. It looks like you have a few old-style fluorescent shop light fixtures. Are you running LED tubes in them?
I converted a few of those fixtures to use ballast-bypass bulbs and they work fairly well as grow lights (6500k tubes), but I wonder if there are better tubes to use. I know there are reddish-blurple colored grow light tubes available, but I'm not a fan of the way those look.
