Nelson had a pretty rough year so Tarbell does improve our depth. I'm not high on Steve Clark but our GK position is not an issue regardless so I don't see any issues with this move. I'd like to see Valdez continue to develop and maybe get some time this year.
Yea Clark isn’t perfect but he’s generally above average which I think we can live with for now. Much more pressing areas of concern.
Weird signing, are Nelson and Valdez really that bad? Idk why you'd keep four GKs under contract (though I guess Valdez will probably start for DynaDos)
Nelson isn’t that good. Valdez could be good but still needs another year at D2
Okay backup GK I get it but let's get some big signings next
I had been really high on Nelson for some time but not sure he’s gonna make the cut. Too bad. He’s from Katy but not a homegrown iirc
Are we releasing Clark or Nelson?
I think Nelson was out of contract
No he isn’t, I thought the same but looked. We do have 4 GK
We do not need 4 GK. Clark and Nelson are just fine and I’m sure we have Nelson signed more for way cheaper than what we just offered this GK
Maybe Nelson gets loaned to a USL team?
Nelson isn’t that good. They’re probably going to sell him for $50K GAM or something. He’s never going to be an MLS starter. Maybe Clark can get moved for the right price but you would need a desperate team.
Waiting on the Messi transfer
Or Ronaldo.
But I also liked the Elis return rumors!
I just hope we aren't paying this guy 300k to be a backup.
Shiiiiiiit, I’d pay $300K to watch you back up…
I'd gladly take 300k. Thanks
