Somber Siblings

Poem

I woke up under my covers

To the sound of falling rain;

Hitting this weak roof

And seeping into my pain.

•

I waited all of last night

Until I finally collapsed;

Into a light slumber

Dreaming of your past.

•

How you were troubled

Now curses my sleep;

With haunting illusions

Of how you would weep.

•

Now your leaden burden

Is tossed onto my back;

Being without you

I carry this sack.

•

How you were treated

Was cruel and unfair;

You're the embodiment

Of Grievance's heir.

•

But I give you the right

To bolster as one.

If you're Grievance's daughter,

I will be Desolation's son.
