Forget Me Not

Poem

How can I survive a day without knowing the people around me? Familiar, yet I don't seem to recognize their faces. The atmosphere around feels like home; like comfort, Yet I still forget fragments of my memory- like a film exposed to the sun. "I don't know you," I reel, "Yet why do I feel like I've known you for centuries?" Like a burning memory I try to stop with a fire extinguisher, but it only made it a lot worse.

I don't remember how we used to look at each other, like our own prized possessions. But why can I explain that feeling so perfectly when others couldn't? Because love stays like a lingering sting in our hearts. Despite our bodies percolates of pain and sufferings, Love can still be the best thing that can ever happen to us.
