Why does a Poet write?

Why does a poet write?

To share emotions he could not hide

Everytime he laughed, Everytime he cried

Everytime he was being cheated and lied

The battles he carry inside, the ones he cannot recite

So it's his pen that he guides

It's a great escape from his plight

That's why a poet write

So he could feel free and untied..
