How many videos do you have?
What was the lowest view count before?
What was the highest view count before?
What was the sort of range of views for most of your videos before?
What was the build up like? Was it an instant hit -- thousands of views within minutes? Or a slow burn?

None of this matters as much as you think. If you know how the point system works on tiktok you can have your first video go viral with little to no followers

I was more or less trying to see if TikTok really does penalize accounts that haven't done well in the past and whether any video at any time can really take off. Which does seem to be the case (that any video really can stand on its own).
But could you expand on the point system? I've only loosely heard about accounts with different levels of "authority". What's the point system?

Yeah video continues to cycle and gets points if the following occurs; (enough points means it continues to cycle)
-Video is completely played through from front to back.
-Video is replayed front to back immediately after first play.
-Video gets and continues to get likes and comments on the first 100, 1,000, 10,000 plays and so on (I don’t know the exact ratio on likes and comments to amount of plays)
Hashtags and followers can throw you into feeds to get the initial views to see if the video will get a jump start on playthoughs likes and comments, but it doesn’t matter entirely if you have followers or tags or not, that just gives you more initial views to increase the chance of getting enough play thoughs / likes / comments to keep the video cycling though feeds.
I’ve spent $5 to get a quick 1,000 views without tags or followers and it gained enough likes, comments, and play though to keep cycling to 1 million plays and counting.
If the video continues to get a lot of comments, likes and full play though it will continue to cycle though feels hence go viral.

I’ve posted around 100
Had loads stay at around 250 views Had a few 10k and one around 60k
It took about 3 hours to get to 20k then started going up around 50k an hour. After it hit 1mil you see it going up 100k every few hours, it’s still going strong two days later.
Had less than 200 followers also

You racked up the points on the video on the tik tok point system for its algorithm on determining if it’s going to continue to cycle or not. That’s simply all it is. Sometimes it doesn’t matter how many followers you have or how many videos you post if you keep hitting enough points on the point system you will go viral on that video
