Stardust In My Eye
Before the beginning of time
Before there ever was a rhyme
The fabric of nothing lay still
Awaiting a touch of divine
Entropy dictated the rest
Every chapter of history, a test
Opening our eyes to the truth
That lay buried in our chest
These numbers do not lie
There’s a ratio in the sky
That even the stubborn snail
Cannot ever try to deny
How many times before
Have we seen this encore
Even pitch black gives out light
As we knock on heaven’s door
Burying my doubt and fear
I write these words my dear
A prophecy disguised well
Knowing that the day is near
The final act is not the end
No matter how you pretend
Even the richest of men
Left wealth he did not spend
