The Honor Guard (Human Sentinel)

So everyone and their mother knows that the Human Sentinel can be a great biotic exploder. However, I propose a different kind of Sentinel. One that, although not as effective with biotic explosions, can deal with a multitude of enemies regardless. Thus, I give to you the Honor Guard. Trading specialization for versatility, the Honor Guard can be brought to any fight at any time. Co-ordination with teammates is preferable though.

Oh look, it's the Critic Formerly Known As Curtis. Oh, he looks mad.

You aren't optimizing for Biotic Explosions. What a piece of crap class you got there.- I already said I traded the ability to explode fast to being a more well-rounded character.

How so?- Tech Armor is quite a nice power as a last minute shot to stagger Hunters, Phantoms, and the like. Plus when having it on it also allows for stronger powers, which is useful for dealing damage while hiding in cover.

So you are slowing down your rate of Biotic Explosions so that you can have a panic button?- A very useful panic button. It certainly stops getting shish-kabobbed by a Phantom or torched by a Pyro. Plus it looks cool and allows for someone to play medic by staggering everything around the dying teammate.

Not bad.- And you can still use Biotic Explosions very often. It's just not 100% optimized for explosions.

So you have your Mattock, but why take the piercing mod when you have Warp that can take down armor well?- Guardians are a problem enemy and I don't trust my aim that well at longer ranges. Plus shooting through small cover allows you to deal damage w/o resorting to praying for power tracking to be golden.

Can you explain the versatility aspect? I got that Tech Armor is a good power, but that's only at a short range. I can imagine you get destroyed by Cerberus and Geth enemies. I can't wait to see you get stomped on every wave.- Throw, Throw, Throw, Throw, and Throw. Did I mention Throw? Such a great power because of its low cool-down, high force for staggering, and range. Also, it detonates every combo, making it very useful with other classes with priming powers and anyone who can prime with ammo. Whatever button Throw is on will be broken by the end of the match. That's how often it will be used.

So when would you use Warp?- Banshees, Primes, Atlases, that sort of thing. Anything that can't dodge should be Warped. Also sometimes you may need to prime an enemy for a Biotic Explosion, but you'll have to co-ordinate that for best effect.

I think I can leave now and not be angry. This is a first- That it would be.

So, have fun and post in the comments if you have any questions or what-not. The plan for the next one is a Manguard, but I desperately need stormfury's help, as I am the worst Vanguard in existence. Unfortunately, he has something called an "active social life", so it might take a while.
