I Am The Man At The Soul Of The Woods: A Transmasculine Poem

Poem

I am forest green and navy blue and I am the texture of my corduroy pants (the ones that hang straight off my body).

I am brotherly love, a tender hug between honorable men.

I am climbing ivy, I am a carp with a strong bite and scaly flesh.

I am the beauty of moss, the hard knock on tree bark.

I am the taste of mud and soil, earthworms and sprouts.

I am the deer tracks and bonfires and the smoke in large lungs.

I am the man at the soul of the woods.

I am not normally a fan of repetitive poem formats like this, but here it is anyways! I wrote this when I was really letting it set in my head that I'm transmasculine, so this is a stream of conciousness. https://www.reddit.com/r/OCPoetry/comments/z7x7hs/something_about_relationship/iy8yk8a?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share&context=3
