New to comics, some advice on what to read?

Hi!! I'm pretty new to reading comics. I've always been super into.. well, superhero movies and tv shows since I was little, but I never actually read the comics. Turns out I have ADHD and couldn't focus long enough to read books or comics. Anyway, medicated now (yay!) and I'm loving all the books I'm reading. But I've also read a couple comics recently (mostly Star Trek related ones) and really enjoyed it.

So now I want to get into some superhero stuff. I bought the Batman '89 six-issue run and absolutely loved it. I'm really big into Batman and Catwoman and just like, Gotham City stories in general I guess.

Really, what I'm hoping for I guess is someone to kind of tell me what comics are good and what order they should be read in and maybe which ones connect and which are just on their own. I tried doing research online but it got kind of (really) confusing. I think most of what I'd be interested in would be post Crisis on Infinite Earths. I read about that on Wikipedia lol. Everything resets after that and Batman gets darker? Idk if that's right or not.. I'm so confused haha
