Buying Impreza GX help!
Hey all,
Went to view a 2004 Impreza GX2.0 today (UK).
Everything seemed good, car ran nicely. However, after driving I check the engine and there was some coolant leaking out of the top of the radiator where the hose is attached. The seller ran it to a mechanic that afternoon and rang me to assure me it was just that the jubilee clamp on said hose wasn’t tight enough and that it shouldn’t leak now.
What are your thoughts? I’m concerned that the head gasket might be deteriorating and putting pressure in the coolant system hence the leak but he seller has claimed that the mechanic said the head gasket is fine. The head gasket has not been replaced in any recent service history or anything.
