Museum Spoiler

So going through the museum you need to use a kettle ball found there to open a door but I ran back and grabbed the one in the first house. Only problem is when you use the one in the museum it’s supposed to spawn a gear and that didn’t happen when I used the og yellow one and now I can’t pick that one up. Anyone else run into this? Or has anyone even thought about that
