Cycle
Burn me on a bed of bamboo wood,
Let this skin be shed to ash and dust
From dust I came and return I should
For canvas of life has now been brush’d
I have played my part in the world of men
I have acted in character of my own
What fear should I possess then
For I have seen life, faced whatever it has thrown
I have drunk from both love and hate
And hand of mine has soothed a heart
Now I shall submit to fate
Of child and man, I’ve played my part
I have cherished the days I had with care
So why should I tear, when those have past
I’ve had an entire life to prepare
For I lived my life, till the last
