A Promise of Utopia

In Russia, Lenin took the lead,

And built a tower for the workers, indeed.

But in their quest for equality,

They crushed all opposition, you see.

In China, Mao then rose to fame,

And vowed to end the people's pain.

But in their pursuit of utopia,

They brought a reign of terror, oh my!

Communism's failures we can't deny,

A cautionary tale for you and I.

Its promises of equal bliss,

Prove to be nothing more than a miss.

So let us learn from history's page,

And turn away from this dark age.

For communism's failures are clear to see,

A better world is what we should be.
