Anyone having their game crash with a video memory error after trying to retrieve a character from a hero op on Xbox series x? I know theres an issue on PS5 and PC but havent seen anything for Xbox. Luckily it reloads to the autosave from the previous night so I havent lost any progress unlike some.

These have worked for some, but didn’t work for me.
Returning hero to default outfit and mashing A on Xbox Series X worked for me

Same. Series X. Just kept pushing thru hoping a patch would come. (Didn’t). Now I’m stuck because I need the character on the mission. Tried all suggested solutions, no joy. I can’t finish the game now and I’m not pleased with the prospect of starting over. (Not to mention the long ass splash screens and not being able to pause cutscenes). I love the game and Firaxis, but this is a bit much. Patch this mess. Seems to be related to upgrading the hero missions to being able to send two units but it messes up and sends one.
Yeah its a pain in the ass but power cycling has worked for me so far. I completely shut my xbox down, made sure the fan stopped spinning and took the cable out for 2 minutes. When I booted back up and went to the hero ops i kept mashing A and although it got a bit frame ratey it pushed through. Hopefully you get a bit of luck and can keep playing your current game
I tried that too. I even changed the outfit to default as I saw suggested somewhere. Mashed the button like crazy. And still the memory error. I’ll keep trying until a patch I guess. Since I’m not starting over again anytime soon.
Yes. It’s sucks but I’m glad it’s not just me. I’ll wait for a patch.
Seems it happens if you’ve upgraded the war room to allow two missions to be run at the same time. If I leave one mission unassigned and just send one hero it doesn’t crash. The patch is due this week I believe.
It happens on Xbox as well. 2k been real quiet for a game that's been out this long with no patch available.
