Cold Self Chill Boneshatter Feedback

Help

I have a boneshatter POB that I have been messing with and would like some advice on a few points. I can't really figure out how good (or shit) this would actually be because I'm not very familiar with how to accurate gauge chill effect for self chill builds and trauma stacks for boneshatter. If I could realistically get about 5 million total dps (including totems and berserking), I would consider playing this. Defensively, the only thing I care about is how it will hold up to the trauma stacks. Gear-wise, I am comfortable with the level of investment so I'm not looking for any feedback like "oh you won't be able to get that staff".

Here are my questions:

  • Is Call of the Void necessary? I'm not too familiar with the self damage part of boneshatter and if without this ring it will be able to self chill consistently.
  • Am I actually going to be able to get 30 chill effect? Is there a reasonable way to increase the max chill effect past 30?
  • How would I find out how many trauma stacks would I be able to accumulate if I was hitting uninterrupted for say 6 seconds? I believe trauma stacks persist for 6 seconds, so I guess I could theoretically accumulate 6 * 9 (attack rate) = 56? Seems way over optimistic, although this is with berserk and vaal haste up, but also not accounting for the helmet enchant.
  • Could my defenses sustain a couple dozen trauma stacks? I have decent leech, but I'm not a jugg or slayer

oof, this is the weird one.

  • I don't think you need Call of the Void, all you need is some phys taken as cold and it should be enough.

  • 30 chill effect - sure, past 30? i don't think it possible.

  • More or less like this, don't forget about attack speed from stacks so as you gain more traumas you hit faster. But that shoud be your last concern bc you will die long before you reach 56.

  • No, you have very little phys dmg reduction (also grace???) at 56 stacks you would take over 6k dmg from one hit and instanly die.

Overall i dont think playing scion is a good idea unless you have a very good reason behind it which is not the case here. Right now this build would not work, it dont have good defences and lacking dps so... yeah.

Ok thanks for the advice. I have been plugging random skills in with scion and seeing what gets anywhere.
