A Deceitful Friendship

Poem

(Note: This is my first attempt at anything like poetry so apologies for the mess it kind of just came out)

Untruths are my currency to nick,

Spending them on stealing glances to the sky,

Sometimes a crescent moon beam on a cool night,

That luminescent portrait of an enamel displayed fleetingly before first quarter is high,

Still my favourite spoil is matters not what phase is nigh,

My gaze tours through soft ebony overcast exploiting maps fabricated from shades of lie,

With delight I meet the sight of honeyed wandering stars till my guilt cuts me with a knife,

So to be in their orbit I dare never try.
