[Help] Screen Space Reflections in water are overly desaturated to the point of being transparent, where they were fine previously. And I can't seem to fix it.

PC SSE - Help

I've been modding up a new install of Skyrim SE, which I downgraded to 1.5.97 for stability and mod compatibility. I've been tweaking settings and finalizing my modlist, and recently noticed that something has gone wrong with the screen space reflections in water. They have gone from a normal level of saturation where they were appropriately dark and easily visible to being now almost imperceptible due to how transparent they are. I've toggled a number of mods and settings, reset my INI to default (and tested many other presets in BethINI, including vanilla ones), and did a full reinstall of ENB and the NAT.ENB preset (I'm using NAT.ENB III) to try and get back to normal. But nothing I'm doing helps. I've also fiddled with the Water and Reflection settings in the ENB menus, but found no remedy. I have not been able to locate this specific issue anywhere else, including the troubleshooting guide. So I decided to make my own post here.

I have images showing this change. The sky and mountains, which reflect in water even without SSR on, are the expected saturation and clarity in both images. But in the second image, all the stuff that is added with the SSR setting (primarily trees, objects) is desaturated to the point of being nearly transparent and heavily overpowered by the other reflections.

I understand that Skyrim modding is complex by nature and there are many variables. But I'm at a loss here, and hoping that this community may be able to help me get to the bottom of this. Surely there are plenty of folks here with greater knowledge than mine. Forgive me if I've left out any relevant details. I tried to adhere to the information laid out in the posting rules and guidelines. Thanks for your time!

Open up ENB settings. Is "EnableReflection" ticked on?

Yeah, EnableReflection is enabled in the ENB settings. Turning it off does make a noticeable change, the transparent reflections disappear entirely. Only the mountains and certain static trees remain (the ones that are full saturation in both images). Turning it on gives me the transparent reflections that you can see in the second screenshot. Changing the reflections settings in the ENB doesn't seem to have any effect on this transparency.

Sorry to revive a dead post, did you find a solution? Having the same problem.

Hello. Pardon me, I'm lining in with the diggers. Because I have the same problem and I don't seem to find any solution for weeks now. Also running SSE with the Realistic Water 2-mod. And even with it deactivated there're still no true screen space reflections. Very, very shallow and only to be seen from far away.
