[DISCUSSION] Naga Siren's Viability in the Hard Carry / 1 position.

So, during the international i watched several games with naga siren in it, and in each game, Naga was played as a hard carry who just riced, typically grabbing a radiance into a heart/manta/linkens, and using his images+riptide to farm the jungle.

It seems that carry naga is underwhelming. I feel that naga lost her carry status when they removed her crits a few patches ago. While Illusions allow naga to deal significant dps, relying on illusions to carry is an iffy choice, (look at the state of PL in competitive). Naga is picked more for her wombo combo ult, than her hard carry potential, but taking a look at her other skills, it seems rather obvious that she should be played as a 2/3 in a ganking role.

Her net lasts for an obnoxiously long time, and her riptide does absurd amounts of damage especially early.

If someone wants to enlighten me as to why naga is played as a hard carry, rather than a ganker/semi-carry please do.
